The friendships my family and I have made in this village are some that we cherish in our heart. People from every neighborhood, including our own in Ballantrae, welcomed us with open arms when we moved here and we could not have asked for more. That is the Flossmoor Spirit!  We are a town of diverse and “unconventional” families that value their homes, education and just plain fun!  I will be a Trustee that protects these values for all families. I will continue to celebrate our diversity and have open arms for the next wave of new residents that wish to call Flossmoor home.

 

I am running for Trustee to ensure that this great town keeps moving forward into prosperity and excellence! My extensive accounting background will allow me to give a fresh set of eyes to a multi-million-dollar budget that affects everything from police services to property taxes. I will review the village’s reports and vote to ensure that the needs of our village are met while balancing fiscal responsibility. The role of a Trustee is to be a check and balance of the mayor and village manager. We are entrusted to vote on what is the best path forward for our residents. I do not take that responsibility lightly and you can count on me for a commonsense approach to our challenges.

Over my professional career, I have had the opportunity to see organizations that either grow or fall into pieces. The common denominator with the companies that grew is the culture of the people. Working together should be Flossmoor’s culture of the people. I have been to many of the village board meetings and I see people resort to personal attacks of character. That is not what is going to move us forward. When I am elected Trustee, you can count on me to be a Trustee for all of Flossmoor's neighborhoods. I will work with all village board members, mayor, village manager and staff so that we can come to an agreement on critical issues. I pride myself on being able to see the other side’s point of view and working with opposing sides to get things done. We must grow as a village, and we must do that together!
